SelfRefind is seeking a HRIS Analyst/Generalist!

The role is designed to support the day-to-day operations of the People Services function while providing excellent customer service to our teammates.   This position will provide be responsible for Human Resources Information System (HRIS) management, ATS system (Newton), analytics, and compliance reporting. In addition, this position will provide guidance, assistance, and clarification of the organization's policies, procedures, and documentation for all teammates.  Additional responsibilities include People Services teammate relations, training and administration. The role is designed to evolve and may require changes to areas of specialization.


The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive:


  • Manages Human Resources Information System (HRIS) database as a primary user and performs routine and special data entry. During system implementation and beyond, actively explores available features; makes recommendations to optimize system use; and collaborates with Management and colleagues to simplify HRIS processes.
  • Works to maintain data integrity by entering information accurately; identifying missing information and/or gaps across systems; and engaging effectively with colleagues, technology, and other resources to resolve issues and to enhance system performance.
  • Trains (or coordinates training for) users on correct data input processes, confidentiality requirements, and system security.
  • Conducts end user testing for systems upgrades, enhancements and interfaces between other systems.
  • Develops and produces standard and customized reporting, analytics (turnover, performance management, etc. and others requested by senior management, runs queries, and audits and analyzes HRIS data as needed.
  • Oversees Paycor for the completion of compliance related system reporting (EEO-1, Unemployment, verification of employment, ACA reporting, etc.)
  • Partner with payroll as required, create and distribute automated Total Compensation Summaries for each teammate.
  • Creates process for merit and bonus increase and annual compensation planning
  • Collaboration with IT, Finance, Compliance and other departments on a regular basis
  • Manage 90 day and Annual Performance Review process - ensure all performance reviews are completed timely and thoroughly.
  • Oversees the onboarding process to ensure that new hires and departures are processed effectively and efficiently, to ensure compliance and a positive onboarding and offboarding experience. Works in conjunction with IT, Carelogic, etc. to ensure information is provided timely to ensure all equipment and system access are provided.

Benefits Administration

  • Partner with the benefits broker during open enrollment and as new hires onboard to help educate teammates on benefit offerings. Administer all aspects of health and welfare plans including census collection, open enrollment, implementation, fielding questions, compliance with ACA requirements.
  • Serve as liaison to plan brokers.
  • Serve as COBRA liaison to the admistrator, including compliance requirements.
  • Leave of Absence Administration (FMLA, Short-Term and Long-Term, Workers-compensation)
  • Serve as a liaison with the 401k administrator


  • Build additional applicant sources (in addition to the sources that are created by the Newton ATS system) media, internet sights, colleges, or other resources

Teammate Relations

  • Assist in the creation, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Educate teammates on policies and procedures.
  • Assist in providing support to teammates questions



  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred


  • 7+ years of progressive experience in HR, with significant concentration in HRIS
  • Extensive knowledge of HRIS platforms, including systems related to teammates systems of record, benefits, payroll, compensation, organizational development and recruitment (experience with PAYCOR a plus)

Specialized Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of the Human Resources department within the organization, understanding of HR processes programs and data.
  • Effective project management skills; expertise in driving projects and initiatives, demonstrating benefits of projects to the organization, and translating customer and business needs into technical requirements.
  • Track record of designing and implementing new systems and processes that resulted in improved outcomes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access and comfortable consolidating multiple sets of data
  • Demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to follow through on requests
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and be a team player
  • Meticulous organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skill
